Barangay Mesalipit is located in a low-lying area (~6.5 m AMSL) and was among the barangays impacted by lahar flow from the 1991 Mt. Pinatubo eruption. Since then, flood control infrastructure has been reinforced, and disaster preparedness initiatives are in place in partnership with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).
Barangay Mesalipit is a modest yet strong-willed community in southern Bacolor, with over 2,100 residents. While the barangay was affected by historical disasters, it continues to rebuild through active governance, improved infrastructure, and community resilience. With basic facilities in place and a strong sense of identity, Mesalipit contributes to Bacolor’s overall recovery and development.
